Late last month, Bandera Electric Cooperative donated $2,000 to the Comfort Table and Food Pantry. BEC representatives presented the check to Susan Die, Comfort Table pantry program manager, and Roy Die, board president.
The Comfort Table and Food Pantry has doubled its budget to serve the community effectively after hardships over the past two years, including the pandemic and winter freeze, information in a BEC press release stated.
“The donation will help offset the cost of purchasing wholesome food items and operating costs for the nonprofit organization,” the information stated.
