FREDERICKSBURG – The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, in partnership with the Texas Department of Family & Protective Services, Child Care Licensing, will be presenting a five-hour approved training for childcare providers and directors. The training is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Gillespie County Extension Office in Fredericksburg.
The keynote speaker, Dr. Mike, will cover the theme “Music, Movement and Learning: Building Muscles in Young Brains.” Music and movement are powerful tools that engage children in meaningful learning, information in a press release stated.
“This multi-sensory experience engages the entire brain and promotes meaningful learning which produces accelerated learning, long-term retention and makes learning fun and exciting,” the information stated. “More importantly, this form of instruction meets the needs of all children, it brings joy to education!”
