Geneva student receives DAR scholarship

Geneva School of Boerne student Nicholas Siller has received this year’s Good Citizen Scholarship Award given annually by Boerne’s George W. Kendall chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. He is also the school’s valedictorian.

Students selected for the DAR Good Citizen scholarship award must have the following qualities: Dependability (truthfulness, honesty, punctuality, etc.), service (cooperation, helpfulness, responsibility, etc.), leadership (personality, self-control, initiative, etc.) and patriotism (unselfish loyalty to American ideals).

Boerne’s George W. Kendall Chapter leads the state organization in the number of Good Citizen Scholarship Awards and amounts given to local high schools, information from the organization stated.
