La Vernia defeated Boerne High, 42-31, Friday at Commander to eliminate the Greyhounds from the state playoffs after the Hounds went six rounds last year.

Geneva School of Boerne

On Thursday, Cypress Christian topped Geneva, 55-6, to end the Eagles season. Geneva was led by first-year Eagles coach Grant Gaston.
