Maxton wins Fair Oaks Ranch mayor election

Stroup, Taylor, Muenchow earn council seats; Tidwell and Davila-Burnett win Boerne ISD trustee contests

Greg Maxton will be Fair Oaks Ranch's new leader after he won Saturday's mayoral election over Snehal Patel.

Unoffial results from the May 1 election were posted at about 8:45 p.m. Saturday by the Kendall County Elections Office.

Also in Fair Oaks Ranch, Emily Stroup, J.C. Taylor and Chesley Muenchow earned seats on the city council. In the Boerne ISD board of education election, incumbent Joe Tidwell retained his Place 2 trustee seat and Jessica Davila-Burnett won in Place 3.

Maxton received 1,340 votes for FOR mayor while Patel picked up 1,163. In Place 1, Stroup also garnered 1,340 votes to David Deleranko's 1,126. In Place 5, Taylor outpolled both Scott Parker and Tim Corley by being selected on 1,185 ballots. Parker's total was 906 while Corley received 308. In Place 6, Muenchow earned 1,345 votes compared to Stephen May's 1,027.

There were 4,244 total votes cast. Turnout was about 10 percent.
