KCRW closes out year with sheriff talking about his border experiences

Kendall County Republican Women will host a luncheon Tuesday, May 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kronkosky Place, 17 Old San Antonio.

Guest Speaker will be Kendall County Sheriff Al Auxier providing his “Personal Observations from the Border,” explaining the real situation along the border, and if it is as bad as the news portrays.

Auxier has been in law enforcement for more than 30 years, including more than 24 years as a Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol State Trooper, before retiring in 2011. In his career, he has earned his Master Peace Officer Proficiency Certificate with over 4,600 hours of advanced training, is a Texas DPS Certified Crash Reconstruction expert, a certified firearms instructor and Field Training Officer, and a graduate of the Texas Police Chiefs Association Foundation “Developing Leaders for Texas Law Enforcement program.”

He also has training in numerous other fields including Forensic Mapping and Autosketch, First Responder, Narcotics, Terrorism Training, Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response, Crime Scene Investigation, Crisis Intervention, Child Abuse and Family Violence Prevention and Identity Theft.

This will be the KCRW’s last meeting before summer break. The will resume monthly meetings Tuesday, Sept. 10.
