Festival of Trees is back at the Patrick Heath Public Library.

For those of you who have never had the chance to see our Festival of Trees event at the library, it is a community-wide event in which businesses and individuals from the surrounding community come together in the Christmas spirit to help fundraise for the library by creating a fully decorated Christmas tree or Christmas wreath that is donated to the library and then bid on during the festival Dec. 2 silent auction.

The winning bidder for each tree or wreath then has their prize wrapped up and delivered to their home (within Kendall County) to enjoy all throughout the Christmas season.

This year the bidding will be conducted online through, so even if you can’t make it in person, you can still make sure to bid for your favorite item.

If you would like to participate in this year’s Festival of Trees as a donor, please contact Leah at 830-249-3053. If you would like to participate as a bidder and spectator, please follow the Boerne Festival of Trees Facebook Page to stay up to date.

Happy Fall, Ya’ll

It’s Thanksgiving soon, and we would like to give thanks to all of our patrons who visit us here at the library. Your support means the world to us and we love seeing you all here.

If you or a loved one enjoys the services we provide, please consider making a donation so that we can keep providing the best service to our community.

Donations can be made over the phone or in person, and can even be specified for your favorite department, we really appreciate the love and support from our community.

Teen Programs

Teen programs here at the library are being adjusted to accommodate the larger number of teens we are seeing here than years past.

Touch Grass Tuesday, which includes outdoor events like nerf gun wars and backyard BBQs will become a monthly program.

Wednesday Crafternoons will remain a weekly affair here in the Hub.

And ThrowDown Thursday, where you get to face-off against your friends to find out who is the best at games like Mariokart and Mario Tennis, will become a quarterly event that will feature larger competitive brackets and even grander prizes.

Outreach Book Delivery

Did you know that each Friday the library drives all over Kendall County and delivers books to outreach patrons? This is because there are some patrons that have difficulty making it into the library to utilize our wonderful services, so we bring their books to them.

If you or someone you know could benefit from this service, or if you are interested in volunteering for Outreach, please call 830-249-3053 and talk with one of the Outreach Team members, we would love to hear from you.
