Boerne Independent School District Superintendent Tom Price announced early Thursday that all district schools will remain closed through April 24 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
"I realize how difficult it has become to have the added uncertainty of how long schools will be closed to establishing practical and healthy routines at home," he said in his announcement posted on the BISD website. "In alignment with the recent extension of our district's cities and county's emergency declaration through April 24, I have also extensed the closure of the school district."
Price said the district quickly is learning and implementing remote work environments for staff and will continue providing supports to students "as we always have."
"It's a different way of doing the work, but we are here and dedicated to being our very best for all," he said.
