Barbara Ann McCrae Wilde was born in 1949 to Helen and Spencer McCrae and then raised in Salina, Kansas.

Barbara Ann McCrae Wilde was born in 1949 to Helen and Spencer McCrae and then raised in Salina, Kansas. In 1972 She married Ron Wilde and moved with the US Military to South Korea where her 2 children, Brian David Wilde and Honor Lee Wilde were born. She and Ron lived the next 41 years in Oklahoma and Texas until his death in 2013. In 2020 she moved to Port Townsend where she enjoyed being near family, many new friends, and mild summers. Barb will be remembered by many friends for her optimism and enthusiasm. Her passion for Wilde

Fiber Arts exploration took her into many areas including quilting, spinning, knitting, weaving, crochet, cross stitch and bobbin lace. At Barb’s shop, Rosewood Yarns in Boerne, friends gathered as a fiber community and enjoyed her generous teaching. She raised llamas, and alpacas with her husband Ron. Barb was quick to make and keep many friends through a lifetime of active participation in her Methodist churches and many Bridge groups. She was an enthusiastic gardener and traveler. Barb will be missed by the many friends she left in Texas and in her new home in Port Townsend. Her loving and generous sharing of her many passions was a lasting joyous gift to all who loved her. On January 17 of 2023 she died surrounded by loving family and friends. Barb is survived by her son Brian Wilde with his wife Kelly, daughter Honor Canon with her husband Stephen; 7 grandchildren, (Kirsten, Noah, Lenore, Jackson, Ethan, Aiden, and Mason) and 3 siblings, Sandy McCrae, Bj McCrae and Virginia McCrae. Memorial donations may be directed to First United Methodist Church, 205 E James St, Boerne, TX 78006 or the Peninsula Weavers and Spinners Guild at 1240 Sims Way #457, Port Townsend WA 98368
