Betty Louise Karnstadt

 

Betty Louise Karnstadt passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at the age of 92. She was born to Ed and Dessie (Anderson) Goodman in Denver, Colorado.  Betty was an only child as well as an Army brat and lived in many locations during childhood.  

She graduated from South San High School in San Antonio, Texas. She met the love of her life, Otto Karnstadt, in Luling, Texas, where they resided for the next 30-plus years. 

Betty was a homemaker, school volunteer and loving mother. Upon retirement, they moved to Lake Buchanan in Marble Falls, TXexas. After 10 years of lake life, they relocated to Fredericksburg, Texas, and remained there until Otto’s death in 2018. After Otto’s death, she moved to Boerne to be closer to family.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Rowlett and husband Mac; her son, Cary Karnstadt and wife Sandi of Austin; five grandchildren, Jason Rowlett, Allison Valdez, Ashley Rowlett, Chase Karnstadt and Walker Karnstadt; five great-grandchildren; and her constant companion, Schatze. She is preceded by her husband, Otto Karnstadt and her parents.

The family would like to thank the staff at Texan House for all the love and support over the last two years. 

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the Texan House, 137 Old San Antonio Road, Boerne, Texas.
