July 10, 1942 – October 1, 2021

Bluette Allan Duennenberg passed away from this world on October 1, 2021, in San Antonio, Texas. Bluette was born in Boerne, Texas, on July 10, 1942, and had just reached his 79thbirthday.

Bluette is survived by sons Allen Duennenberg and wife Kellie of Boerne and Clinton Duennenberg and wife Kelly of Junction, Texas; granddaughter Allie Campbell, husband Kyle and great-grandson Kyzer, of San Antonio, Texas; granddaughter Ashley Duennenberg of Boerne, Texas; grandson Cooper Duennenberg of Junction, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Bluette was preceded in death by his mother and father, Fritz and Hilda Duennenberg; brother Harvey Duennenberg; and grandson Hayden Duennenberg.

Bluette came from a Boerne pioneer farming family, the Eric Poehnert and John Duennenberg families, where he lived on the family farm until his death. He attended Boerne schools, graduating from Boerne High School in 1960, and attended St. Mary’s University where he played baseball for the college and graduated in 1967.

He began his career at Northside ISD, Sul Ross Middle School in San Antonio, Texas, where he taught for 31 years prior to retiring due to an automobile accident which left him in a wheelchair.

Bluette was greatly loved by all of his family, and we will miss him dearly.

The family would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff and family who tirelessly took care of Bluette over the last 20 years. There will be no funeral service at this time.
