Frances A. Glende died peacefully Monday, Oct. 31, 2022, at her residence in Boerne, Texas. She is survived by her six children: son Maurice S. (Mary Lou), daughter Dolphina, son Joel (Brenda), son Thomas (Doris), daughter Mary (George) Begin and son Jon (Michele); 14 grandchildren: Jennifer Zeman, Emily (Chris) Wurl, Jason (Ty), Nathan (Seve), Brianna (Gunner) Day, Timothy (Diana), Ajami, Jon (Taylor), Brandon, Jeremy, Benjamin, Erin, Stefan, & Gabriela; 11 great-grandchildren: Scott, Paityn, Brett, Joss, Navia, Leandro, Levi, Savanna, Easton, Miles, and Emma. In addition, many other surviving relatives including nephew Doug (Judy) Vogel and family; nieces: Virgene (James) Beam and family, Carol (Martin) Taylor, Diane (Kent) Carlson; her niece Laura’s son, Mario Schackelman, and daughter Amanda Eddy, niece Carol’s sons Eric and Mark Taylor, Diane’s daughters Holly and Heidi, sister-in-Law Suzanne Schackelman and so many other beloved relatives and close Friends.
Preceding Frances in death were her husband of 64 years, Maurice O. Glende; loving parents, Flora (Rueth) and Ben Vogel; her biological father passed away when she was an infant, but she was blessed with a wonderful dad when her mother married Mark Schackelman.
