Margarita Ramirez Rosales, 79, of Boerne passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2019. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 7, at Holt & Holt Funeral Home, 319 E San Antonio Avenue in Boerne, with a rosary at 7 p.m. The funeral mass will be at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 202 W Kronkosky Boerne, with committal to follow at Boerne Cemetery.

Margarita Ramirez was born on April 7,

1940, in Zaragoza, Coahuila, Mexico, to Eufemio and Diamantina Rosales. She was a devoted Catholic woman, who loved to serve her church and her family. She was a loving wife and exemplary mother, who put everyone before herself. Some of her hobbies included fishing, playing “Loteria,” scratch-offs and cooking for anyone who walked into her home. She always had a smile on her face and was known for making the best homemade tortillas and papas con chile y queso!

Margarita is survived by her husband, Leopoldo Ramirez; her children, Maria Arellano (Francisco), Blanca Perez (Jose), Maria Vargas (Pablo), Romelia Perez (Sergio) Isidro Ramirez (Manuela), Yolanda Hernandez (Victor) and Raquel Fernandez (Sergio); her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

Margarita was preceded in death by her parents, Eufemio and Diamantina Rosales; and her son, Juan H. Ramirez.
