Martha L. Magers

August 15, 1935 – January 7, 2021


Martha L. Magers, 85, of King George, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021, at

Commonwealth Senior Living of Fredericksburg. She was born Thursday, August 15, 1935, in Harter Hill, West Virginia. Martha was an artist and loved painting.

She is survived by her brother, Walter Moore, of Melbourne, Florida; sister Blanche Morgan, of King George, Virginia; children Arlene Louise Bond (Robert Seth Carroll), of Vancouver, Washington; Ralph Edward Zecco (Alice), of Crestview, Florida; and Rose Marie Preston (Rick), of Colonial Beach, Virginia; grandchildren Carrie Victoria Bond (Dustin David Deptawa, partner), of New Braunfels, Texas, Joseph Andrew Bond, Jonathon Robert Bond and Seth Cameron Carroll (Sonya Marie Williams, partner), all of Vancouver, Washington, Nathan Zecco (Cynthia), of Galveston, Texas, Anthony Zecco (Marley, partner), of Indianapolis, Indiana, Thomas Preston (Amanda), of Montross, Virginia, and Joshua Lee Preston (Karea), of Richmond, Virginia; and great-grandchildren Clayton Joseph Deptawa, Nanette Marie Carroll, Siren and Dylan Beihline, Thomas Preston III, Elijah Preston, Grace Preston, Norah Preston, Judah Preston and Asher Preston. She was loved by many.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 17, 2021, at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 8096 Leedstown Road, Colonial Beach, Virginia 22443. Go to, where the service will be live-streamed.
