She graduated from Northwest Classen High School in 1958. She then attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated from Oklahoma City University in 1963. Upon graduation, she moved to Dallas, Texas, where she met and married Dr. Barry Eugene Brooks in 1969. They moved to Jacksonville, Texas, in 1972 to take over a dental practice and raise their family.

While in Jacksonville, she worked part time in the dental practice, with her full-time job being a mom. The family was active members of Central Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing golf and tennis, traveling with her family and playing Pokeno with her friends.

She moved to San Antonio in 1999 to be near her daughter and then to Boerne in 2009 where she worked as a caregiver for Home Instead Senior Care. She attended Bible study and First United Methodist Church in Boerne.

Her biggest joy was watching her grandchildren grow up. Nana Pat was the biggest cheerleader and supporter of all their activities, often helping to taxi them wherever they needed to go. She was known as a true friend and sweet soul.

She was preceded in death by her son, Brady Eugene Brooks; her parents; and her brother, Gibbs Neville. Patricia is survived by her daughter, Brenda Brooks Rocchio and husband Leland Rocchio of Boerne, Texas; and daughter-in-law Jeana Pierce Culp and husband Rick Culp of Livingston, Texas.  She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Mary Rocchio, Hannah Rocchio, Ava Rocchio, Chase Culp and Dean Culp; five nieces; four nephews; her rescue dog, Lucy; and a host of dear friends.

Her family will greet friends on Saturday, January 22, 2022, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church Boerne, 205 James St., Boerne, Texas 78006. A service will follow at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Kimberly Burke officiating.
