Paul G. De Luna Jr.
August 31, 1973 – September 18, 2021
Paul G. De Luna Jr, of Boerne, Texas, entered this world on August 31, 1973, and went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 18, 2021.
Paul was born in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Paul and Minnie De Luna, and the brother of Roxane(Rocky) De Luna. He attended Curington Elementary School in Boerne and Town East Christian School in San Antonio. Paul graduated from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida, with a bachelor’s degree in commercial art, and soon after met and married his wife, Lori Ann Martin.
Paul loved getting to know the people around him and never passed up an opportunity to share his passion for art and music with others. His art career began as an illustrator of books, but he continued to study and hone his skills as a painter of fine art. Paul loved capturing the landmarks of his beloved hometown on canvas, and over the years those pieces and many others were displayed and sold in various businesses throughout Boerne.
In his collection of inspirational pieces, Paul’s theme was Reflections of the Son, and his goal was to let the light of his Lord shine forth the message of God’s infinite love. Paul was scheduled to show all of his works at the Carriage House Gallery when the Lord called him home.
Though Paul was known best as an artist,he was equally gifted with a beautifully trained voice that he was always eager to use. Whether in the church choir, at a local social event, or at a Geneva basketball game where he proudly sang the National Anthem, Paul put his whole heart into each song. What a comfort it is to know that Paul De Luna is still singing and bringing glory to the name of the one who saved him.
Paul has joined his grandfather and grandmother, Rudy and Cora Hernandez, in heaven. Among other friends and family who are anticipating the grand reunion someday are his loving wife, Lori Martin De Luna; sons Nathan and Andrew; daughters Julianne and Bethany; his parents, Paul and Minnie De Luna; his sister, Rocky De Luna; and a host of loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
The viewing will be held on Saturday, September 25, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home. The Funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Boerne on Sunday, September 26, at 2 p.m.
