Renee Rector

April 28, 1925 – September 29, 2020

On Tuesday, September 29, 2020, Renee Rector, loving wife and mother of five children, passed away peacefully at the age of 95 in her bed.

Renee was born on April 28, 1925, in Los Angeles, California, to Andre and Irene (Jennings) De La Croix. She worked for Bell Telephone Company, Ventura Police Department and Ojai Unified School District. On September 5, 1944, she married Kenneth Seaman. They had one son, Michael, and four daughters, Cheryl, Diane, Vicki and Karen. She later married Charles Rector and had three stepchildren, Charles, Teresa and George.

Renee was a homemaker and a tireless worker. She was a devoted mother and always put her children first. She never lost faith in her children when they didn't do everything right. All her children came to her for comfort, support and advice. She would rise up at 4 a.m. to start her family’s day.

Her house was immaculately clean. She baked every day and made wholesome meals. She sewed most of her children's clothes. She had beautiful homes and gardens wherever she lived. She was gifted at making a home warm and inviting and knew how to decorate for all occasions. She was known for her love of people and her hospitality. She was a warm person and easy to talk to and made everyone feel welcome at all family gatherings. She enjoyed wearing stylish clothes and jewelry.

She loved to volunteer and was a member of the Boerne Garden Club and Site Council at the Kronkosky Center for many years. She cooked for bake sales up until age 94.

The most important thing in her life was God. She went to church all her life and prayed for all her children, family and friends.

Renee was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles. She is survived by her five children, Cheryl, Michael, Diane, Vicki and Karen; three step-children, Charles, Teresa and George; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held in the future. To leave condolences for the family, visit www.ebensberger-fisher.com.
