During its May 8 meeting, the Kendall County Commissioners Court voted to create the Kendall County Public Safety Corporation with the purpose of aiding, assisting, and acting on behalf of Kendall County in the performance of its governmental functions to promote the common good, general welfare, and public safety of the County.
The court appointed Commissioner Andra M. Wisian as Chair and Commissioner Richard Chapman and Commissioner Chad Carpentar as members.
“I believe that the Public Safety of our residents in the County is a top priority. In 2021, the prior Commissioners Court authorized the hiring of paid firefighters to support the volunteer departments when coverage was thin. The County has continued to fund volunteer departments with personnel and equipment,” said Andra Wisian, Chairwoman.
