The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Kendall County Sheriff’s Department. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence which will be decided in court at a later date. December 19

12:12 p.m., 100 Antelope Hill – AirLife was called for a medical emergency.

1:54 p.m., Ranger Creek Rd. & Lake Country – A woman was suspicious when she saw people in a pickup with several Amazon boxes in the bed going from mailbox to mailbox.

2:33 p.m., 100 N. Stonegate – A caller complained about door-to-door vacuum salesmen.

8:41 p.m., 100 Walnut Way – After a woman said she saw a ‘tween girl by the roadside crying, but when she turned around to check on her, the youngster couldn’t be found.

Deputies also made 12 traffic stops, assisted the public twice, another law enforcement agency once and an EMS crew once, checked out three suspicious people, worked one non-injury wreck, attempted to serve one warrant and handled four reckless driver reports, five civil matters and four traffic hazards.

December 20

12:39 a.m., 100 Hunters View Circle – A woman said her adult daughter came home intoxicated and mean and refuses to leave.

3:06 a.m., Bennitt Rd. – A caller said her dogs saw trespassers and she heard someone around her vehicle.

5:22 a.m., 100 Walnut Way – EMS was called for a driver who was passed out in his Mustang after running into mailboxes. 9:12 a.m., Staudt St. – A woman turned herself in at the jail.

10:08 a.m., 100 Sage Oaks Tr. – A caller reported possible animal cruelty.

10:55 a.m., 49600 I-10 – A woman complained a man moved his trailer onto her land without permission.

11:38 a.m., 7300 FM 1888 – A stray ram went ambling onto a neighbor’s property. 11:58 a.m., 300 Idlewilde Blvd., Comfort – A woman said there were trespassers on her property two days ago.

2:35 p.m., 100 Spring Creek Rd. – A woman reported her daughter’s credit card was taken from the mailbox and used in Kerrville.

2:36 p.m., Spring Creek Rd. – Another woman reported mail theft.

3:07 p.m., Staudt St. – A man complained after he was arrested last summer, a deputy confiscated his Glock and he never got it back.

6:45 p.m., 100 Idlewilde Blvd. – A woman complained her estranged husband stopped by and made a scene.

10:23 p.m., 1200 FM 1376 – A woman was concerned about a man she had an altercation with earlier and doesn’t know where he is.

Deputies also made six traffic stops, assisted the public three times, checked out two suspicious people, one suspicious vehicle, worked two non-injury wrecks, one traffic hazard, three reckless driver reports.

December 21

2:03 a.m., I-10 mile 542 – Deputies arrested the man a caller said was going the wrong way on the interstate and seemed to be drunk.

6:52 a.m., Staudt St. – Six residents alerted dispatch they would be doing controlled burns.

8:53 a.m., 40000 I-10 – EMS was called to treat a man who cut his face and possibly broke his ankle when he put his truck into a ditch.

9:15 a.m., 500 Second St., Comfort - AirEvac was called to transport a man who fell from a tree.

9:24 a.m., Staudt St. - An arrest was made at the jail.

10:23 a.m., 300 Idlewilde Blvd., Comfort - A caller complained someone fired a round too close to a hunting blind on a deer lease.

12:31 p.m., I-10 mile 524 - A man was arrested after being stopped for traffic violations.

2:34 p.m., I-10 mile 524 - A man complained the speeding Escalade that kicked up rocks broke his windshield.

2:43 p.m., S FM 3351 - A customer got angry and refused to leave a restaurant when an employee refused to honor a coupon.

3:19 p.m., 600 FM 1376 - A tan calf went for a stroll in the road.

3:23 p.m., E. Tapatio Dr. - A deputy’s decibel meter said the drums a caller complained were too loud were within legal limits.

6:54 p.m., Hwy. 87, Comfort - A caller reported a man and woman were arguing. 7:18 p.m., FM 1376 & Shooting Club Rd. - A caller suspected people were stealing stuff.

9:08 p.m., 200 Cold River - A woman said someone was trying to break into her sister’s vehicle, but nothing was taken. 9:29 p.m., 100 N. Wagon Wheel Dr. - A caller reported hearing gunshots.

10:22 p.m., 200 April Ln. - A caller complained the music his neighbor was playing in his SUV was too loud.

10:25 p.m., FM 3351 & Rio Cordillera - A woman said when she left he neighborhood, there were lots of packages at the mailboxes, but when she returned they were all gone and she feared they were stolen.

11:27 p.m., 100 Old San Antonio - During a traffic stop, one man resisted being arrested, but he went to jail anyway. Deputies also made 19 traffic stops, assisted the public four times and an EMS crew once, worked one non-injury wreck and handled five reckless driver reports, seven animal calls, five civil matters and three security checks.

December 22

12:19 a.m., 300 Idlewilde Blvd., Comfort - A man said his neighbors drove across his land, fired two shots into the ground, then burned out across the property, and he offered a video of the whole thing.

2:03 a.m., 500 N. Pleasant Valley Dr. - A man said his roommate has been telling other people he was going to beat him up. 2:38 a.m., I-10 mile 545 - Bexar officials warned a drunk driver was involved in a hit-and-run wreck and headed towards Kendall County, but he wrecked out before he got there.

2:53 a.m., 36700 I-10 - A man was arrested during a traffic stop.

6:21 a.m., 100 Ten West Dr. - After a woman said her husband fired a gun towards her, she said she was taking him to his mom’s house, but deputies stopped them and detained the guy.

8:39 a.m., 900 E. Hwy. 46 - Deputies couldn’t find the people a security firm saw walking around a construction site. 10:05 a.m., 30700 I-10 - A man reported two vehicles were burglarized.

10:40 a.m., 100 S.FM 3351 - Deputies couldn’t find the man a woman thought she heard and saw in her living room while she and her two small dogs were locked in the bedroom.

10:55 a.m., 100 Ranger Dr. - A woman said her daughter’s ex-boyfriend threatened her by text.

12:03 p.m., 100 S. FM 3351 - Deputies couldn’t find the source of the noises a woman said she heard in the house again. 1:56 p.m., 100 Juniper - Firefighters were called when the fire a woman started in a pit spread.

2:30 p.m., Zoeller Ln. & Bennitt Rd. - TxDOT was alerted that someone removed a road sign.

2:34 p.m., 10000 Johns Rd. - Traffic was blocked by the three horses that went for a walk.

3:03 p.m., 200 Woodland Blvd. - Deputies couldn’t find who was firing the shots a caller said had been going on for an hour. 5:44 p.m., E. Tapatio Dr. - The music lover who liked it loud was convinced to turn it down after neighbors complained. 10:48 p.m., 100 Main St. - A caller said about three rounds of gunfire sounded like they were coming from a neighbor’s house where no one was supposed to be.

Deputies also made eight traffic stops, assisted the public three times and an EMS crew five times, checked out three suspicious vehicles, worked two non-injury wrecks and handled four reckless driver reports, two animal calls, two civil matters and one security check.

December 23

3:11 a.m., E. Tapatio Dr. - A caller complained a neighbor was playing her bongos too loud again.

8:28 a.m., 400 Comfort Pl. - A caller discovered someone had cut a cord.

2:21 p.m., 800 Johns Rd. - A caller said a couple were acting oddly in his store where his wife was alone.

3:57 p.m., 100 Palisades - A caller reported hearing two explosions.

4:29 p.m., 800 North Creek Rd. - A man was unhappy that a donkey came calling with an invite.

5:08 p.m., 900 N. Hwy. 87, Comfort - EMS was called for two people injured in a collision.

7:08 p.m., 100 River Ranch Rd. - After a woman complained a neighbor was firing a rifle in the area, deputies learned the resident was just sighting in a rifle.

7:16 p.m., I-10 mile 534 - A deputy cleared up the bunch of packages in the right lane.

Deputies also made 10 traffic stops, assisted the public once and an EMS crew twice, checked out three suspicious vehicles, worked two non-injury wrecks and handled three reckless driver reports, one civil matter, four animal calls, 19 security checks and two false alarms.

December 24

6:56 a.m., 31000 I-10 - A man showed up at work and discovered locks, a laser in a box and a hammer drill were missing from the company vehicles.

8:14 a.m., Kendall Ridge & Kendall Pointe Dr. - A deer accidentally got into the holiday spirit when he got Christmas lights caught around his front leg.

11:13 a.m., FM 474 & River Ranch Rd. - It wasn’t a good day for animals ... a dog was found lying in the bushes with a wire wrapped around its leg.

11:24 a.m., I-10 mile 525 - During a traffic stop a man went to jail and his pet went to the puppy pokey.

2:35 p.m., 300 Kendall Woods Dr. - A caller was concerned when someone was shooting firearms, but a deputy learned they were just safely target shooting.

3:16 p.m., I-10 mile 524 - A reported mobile home fire turned out to be a trash barrel burning in the area.

3:37 p.m., I-10 mile 524 - A passerby reported a man sans clothing was walking down the road.

5:38 p.m., Eighth & High streets, Comfort - A caller asked for extra patrols because he suspected a man would attempt to burglarize while residents were out of town.

8:34 p.m., 100 Riverwood - After a father said his teen son threatened to stab him EMS was called to treat minor cuts on his neck, but later an ER staffer said father and son left without being discharged.

Deputies made an additional 17 traffic stops, assisted the public once, checked out three suspicious vehicles, worked two non-injury wrecks and handled two welfare checks, four reckless driver reports, one animal call one security check and one false alarm.

December 25

12:43 a.m., 200 Waring-Welfare Rd. - A woman said her ex-husband was drunk and yelling at her daughter.

7:21 a.m., 800 N. Hwy. 87, Comfort - Fire fighters were called to free multiple people trapped in a car that rolled over and EMS was called to treat the passengers.

1:47 p.m., 200 Wollschlaeger - A man said his adult son was screaming and throwing things in the house.

3:25 p.m., I-10 mile 535 - A passerby reported a man and woman were quarreling in the median.

3:45 p.m., E. Tapatio Dr. - A deputy found the bongo and stereo music that irked a neighbor wasn’t overly loud.

4:14 p.m., 100 Woodland Blvd. - A caller complained about the semi-automatic weapon fire he heard in the area.

4:30 p.m., 800 High St., Comfort - A father said his adult son was assaulting his family and broke windows before driving away.

4:49 p.m., 100 El Cielo - A woman complained her husband is intoxicated and grabbed their teen daughter.

5:28 p.m., Dodge Rd. - A caller reported his next door neighbors was firing weapons.

7:31 p.m., 1600 Cordillera Trace - After a man said he took the shovel away from his wife who was destroying stuff in the house, the woman called to report he had assaulted her and embezzled $8 million from their joint account.

8:08 p.m., 1500 Cordillera Trace - Following a family quarrel, a woman said her mother was missing, but she soon returned.

9:13 p.m., Thunder Ridge - A caller reported five teen vandals damaged his property.

11:21 p.m., 400 FM 474 - A man who rolled his truck and crashed through a fence was taken to the ER.

Deputies also made four traffic stops, assisted the public twice and another law enforcement agency once, checked out one suspicious vehicle and a 911 hang-up call, worked two non-injury wrecks and handled one welfare check, three reckless driver reports, one traffic hazard, one civil matter, two security checks and two false alarms.
