BHS gets Taylor-made win over Ducks in three

The Boerne High volleyball team took care of business Monday in Dripping Springs after the Lady Greyhounds swept Taylor.

BHS held the Lady Ducks to just 23 points in the first two sets combined and went on to post the 25-14, 25-9, 25-22 victory.

Boerne High is 22-20 overall and faces No. 2 state-ranked Fulshear in the second round. That match is scheduled for Friday in Schulenburg, 6 p.m.

In Monday’s match, Addison Amick finished with 6 digs and 2 assists, Jasmine Nelson added 12 kills and 9 digs, Mackenzie Vasquez served up 4 aces, Maddie Jones tallied 12 assists, 17 digs and 2 aces, Corinne K. had 7 kills and 2.5 blocks, Anna Story came up with 3 kills and 2 assists, Lauren Roberts totaled 2 kills, 4 digs and 1 block, Maddie Hoffman recorded a team-high 15 assists, 3 digs and 2 aces, Hayley Kavanagh came up with 7 kills and 2 blocks and Brianna Brock registered in every category and tallied 5 kills, 1 assist, 8 digs, 1 block and 2 aces.
