AUSTIN - Boerne Champion freshman Elizabeth Leachman talks about winning a gold medal during Friday’s 5A state meet Austin. Leachman won the 1600 by nine seconds with a PR time of 4:47.28.
On Thursday morning, Boerne High's Tori Adams with a silver medal at the 4A state track and field meet in Austin. Adams thew 43-4 to finish second at the meet for the second year in a row.
Also, at the recent TAPPS state meet, Isabella Godoy won the girls 800-meter race with a time of 2:17.69 to earn gold and Godoy also placed fifth in the 400 after running a time of 1:00.23.
