Calallen defeats BHS softball for regional title

JOURDANTON – The Boerne High softball team was looking for its first trip to the state tournament since the 2007 season but a stout Calallen team stood in their way last Friday in Jourdanton in the Region IV-4A championship game. This was the second time in three seasons that the Lady Hounds and Lady Wildcats clashed in the regional finals, and unfortunately for BHS, the result was the same as in 2021, after Calallen knocked Boerne from the playoffs.

The Lady Wildcats won last Friday’s game 8-1 to end Boerne’s year at 29-10 overall.

Afterwards, BHS coach Chester Pettibon tipped his hat to the Wildcats for playing a great game against his team.
