Canyon prevails in overtime over Lady Chargers to maintain grip on 1st place

First place was on the line in District 26-5A Tuesday night when the Champion girls basketball team visited New Braunfels Canyon.

It was a battle that featured 14 ties or lead changes and went to overtime before it was decided. The game came down to the very last shot before Canyon prevailed by two points, 57-55.

Canyon maintains its grip on first place and remains undefeated at 9-0 in district, while the Lady Chargers slip to 7-2 with both 26-5A losses coming to the Cougars.
