Boerne Champion failed to give New Braunfels Canyon its first defeat of the season Friday at Cougars Stadium.

The Chargers took a 49-32 loss to the Cougars in the District 12-5A matchup, and Boerne Champion is now 2-2 after the loss. The Chargers will look to reclaim a winning record when they compete against Hays on Thursday, Sept. 22.
