The Boerne Champion tennis team recently concluded its district tennis tournament. The team had eight medalist with five players advancing to the Region IV-5A tournament to be held in Corpus Christi this week.
Advancing to regionals is Avi Gallegos in girls singles after she won the district championship by defeating a New Braunfels Canyon player in the finals.
Also advancing is Sophia Raimondo and Amber Lewis is girls doubles. The team defeated a Kerrville Tivy team in the finals.
