Boerne High was looking for its third straight regional title Saturday in Kingsville and the only team standing in its way was the last team to beat the Boerne boys in the regional championship round back in 2020.
Back in that 2020 game, Stafford won by a point, but in Saturday’s “revenge” contest between the Hounds and the Spartans, it was all Boerne as the BHS boys rolled to a 50-32 victory.
Boerne captures its third straight regional title and improves to 32-5 overall. They will play in the 4A state semifinals Friday in the Alamodome at the state tournament. Boerne faces Houston Washington at 3 p.m. The winner of that game faces the Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy – Canyon Randle winner Saturday at 7 p.m.
