The Boerne High girls basketball team charged out of the gate Tuesday in its season opener against Medina Valley.
BHS held an 18-2 lead after the first quarter and never looked back as they went on to defeat the Lady Panthers, 78-34.
Boerne starts the year at 1-0 and is off this weekend. They resume non-district action Tuesday at home against Stevens in its annual Hoops for Heartland game before playing in the SAISD tournament next weekend.
