SAN ANTONIO – Boerne High and Pleasanton met for the second time this year but there was a lot more on the line when the Greyhounds and Eagles clashed at Orem Stadium on the campus of Alamo Heights High School Friday night.

In their first meeting in Boerne, the Hounds clipped the Eagles 41-7, and while Pleasanton has improved a lot since that regular-season game in September, it wasn’t enough to overcome a BHS team that is playing its best football of the season.

The Greyhounds won Friday’s second-round playoff game, 50-21, and advances to the third round where they’ll face Port Lavaca Calhoun Thanksgiving weekend.
