After sweeping Wagner last Tuesday, the Boerne Champion volleyball team closed out the week with another straight-set win, this time over Pieper, on Friday.
The Chargers won Friday’s home match, 25-11, 25-23, 29-27, and bump their record to 26-6 overall and 4-1 in district. Champion hosted Smithson Valley on Tuesday and visits Kerrville Tivy on Friday.
Emma Wegleitner had a big match with 18 kills, 13 digs and 3 blocks, Kelsey Rogers tallied 9 kills and 7 blocks, Izzy Maszak added 19 assists to her career totals and also came up with 7 digs, Sadie Hoyt totaled 8 digs, Erin Fallon finished with 14 assists and 9 digs, Gabriella Rossello had 13 digs and 5 assists, Ella Coleman chipped in with 7 kills and 4 blocks, Emmy Koke recorded 4 blocks, Erin Martin, Ashleigh Williams and Raylynn Pitts all had 2 kills apiece for the Chargers team that totaled 20 blocks in the match.
