The softball teams from Boerne Champion and Kerrville Tivy were engaged in a defensive struggle last Thursday when the Hill Country rivals met for a district game at Antler Field.
Only four total runs were scored and three of them belonged to the Lady Chargers team that went on to post a 3-1 victory.
Champion is 8-9 overall and improves to 2-2 in district. They hosted Pieper Tuesday and visit Smithson Valley on Friday.
