JOURDANTON – The Boerne High softball team advanced to the regional finals or fifth round after the Lady Greyhounds defeated Alice Thursday night in Jourdanton, 7-2, in a one-game playoff.

BHS improves to 29-9 and plays the winner of the Calallen – Needville winner. Calallen took Game 1 Thursday night.

The number 13 proved to be pretty lucky for the Lady Hounds Thursday against the Coyotes. Boerne’s offense came up with 13 hits against Alice ace and OLLU signee Ava Hernandez, while Boerne pitcher, No. 13 Ava Rodriguez, struck out 13 batters, including Hernandez to end the game.
