Boerne High hosted Davenport Tuesday at Greyhound Gym to open District 27-4A girls basketball action.
The Lady Hounds played some stout defense and held the Lady Wolves to just 23 points on its way to a 54-23 victory.
BHS starts district at 1-0 and improves to 14-1 overall. Boerne played Bandera in a game moved to Saturday morning to accommodate those Greyhound fans who attended Friday’s state championship football contest between Boerne and China Spring.
