Lady Hounds finish off Fred in 4 games

Just a little before the Boerne High football team defeated Antonian last Friday night, the Lady Hound volleyball squad was taking care of business inside Greyhound Gym when Boerne High hosted arch rival Fredericksburg in a district match.

Boerne High won in four sets against the Battlin’ Billies, 25-14, 22-25, 25-15, 25-17, in the match that was moved up to 5 p.m. because of homecoming festivities.

After dropping their district opener, the Lady Greyhounds won two last week and are 2-1 in 28-4A and 15-19 overall. Boerne is at Llano on Tuesday and then hosts Wimberley Friday afternoon.

Addison Amick finished with 11 digs, Jasmine Nelson added 12 kills, 7 digs, 4.5 blocks and 3 aces, Mackenzie Vasquez tallied 12 assists and 7 digs, Ashley Clingman, Corinne Kadric and Hayley Kavanagh all recorded 5 kills, while Kadric also added 6 blocks and Kavanagh had 5 digs, 2 blocks and 2 aces.

Maddie Hoffman totaled 14 assists and 6 digs, Anna Story came up with 5 digs and 2 blocks, while Lauren Roberts chipped in with 2 digs and half a block.
