The Boerne High girls soccer team continues to plow through opponents and score almost at will and it doesn’t seem to matter who lines up against them.
BHS was entered in the Governor’s Cup Tournament in Georgetown where they went 3-0 and beat their three 5A opponents by a combined score of 22-3.
The Lady Greyhounds are 8-1-1 overall and are off Tuesday. They are done with tournament play after being in three tourneys’
At the Austin-area tourney, Boerne High defeated Georgetown Eastview, 9-1, on Thursday to start the event.
Lexi Truitt basically had two hat tricks after she tallied 6 goals in the match, while Brianna Barrera, Charlie Rand and Maddie Davis all knocked in 1 goal apiece. Regina Hernandez recorded 4 assists, while Barrera, Rand, Kate Spiekerman and Lily Griffith all had 1 assist.
On Friday, the Lady Hounds dominated against another 5A team after they knocked off Leander Rouse, 6-1.
Lexi Truitt had 3 more goals, while Brianna Barrera also had 3 goals. Truitt, Barrera, Charlie Rand and Kylie Combs all collected assists.
In their final match of the tourney on Saturday, the Lady Hounds rolled past Elgin, 7-1.
Lexi Truitt added 4 more goals to her totals, while Brianna Barrera tallied 3 goals. Truitt also collected 3 assists, Maddie Davis had 2 assists, while Kylie Combs and Barrera picked up 1 assist each.
BHS is still three matches away from starting district play, but Truitt already has 31 goals and 10 assists, while Barrera has racked up 16 goals and 22 assists.
