Boerne High graduate Brooke Sivek was named all-state by members of the Texas Sports Writers Association.
Sivek, who wrapped up her senior year with the Lady Greyhound softball team this past spring, made the TSWA honorable mention team as a shortstop.
Sivek had signed to play at Division II Texas A& M University – Kingsville, but the coach, Craig Nicholson, was hired by the University of Akron in Ohio and Sivek will follow him and play for the Zips, a Division I school.
