Helene Elizabeth (Wupperman) Dinwiddie passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015, in Boerne. The fourth of five children, Helene was born in Austin, on March 2, 1911, to Elsie and Walter Wupperman who were both of German ancestry.

Dr. C. Clifford Wendler, of Boerne, died on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at the age of 97. He was born in Boerne on March 26, 1918. His parents, Henry J. and Adele Luckenbach Wendler, were members of the pioneer Wendler and Luckenbach families who settled in this area in the early 1850s, coming to this country from Germany.
Jackie Lee “Jack” Simmons of Coppel took his final bow Friday, April 17, 2015, in Dallas.
Homer Kent Coffee was born in Brownwood, to Mattie Mae Taylor and Homer Coffee on Sept. 7, 1939, and passed way on March 31, 2015, at home with family and friends by his side. He was 75 years old.
Lloyd M. Holekamp, lifetime Boerne resident, passed away in Boerne on Sunday, April 12, 2015, just a week shy of his 85th birthday. He was born in Boerne on April 24, 1930, to Clarence and Selma Holekamp. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Joanne Carolyn Holekamp.
Christine Richardson was born on Dec. 24, 1944, in Waxahachie to Monroe and Pauline McDowell. Chris was truly a Christmas gift to ever so many people during the course of her life. She was the most gifted, loving, kind, generous and compassionate individual.
Funeral services for Hermie Christian, 90-year-old long-time Johnson County resident who passed away quietly at her beloved Jack Plane Ranch east of Buffalo, surrounded by her family, were held Monday, April 13, at 2 p.m. at the Big Horn Baptist Church in Buffalo with Pastor Paul Gilbert officiating. A private family interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery. Sandra Ruth (Martin) Hamilton passed away on April 11, 2015, in San Antonio, at the age of 79. She was born Aug. 13, 1935, in Breckenridge, to Francis James Martin and Joanna Varena (Whaley) Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Albert “Al” Garland Hamilton.
James Donald “Don” Baucum died peacefully at his home on March 30, 2015. He was born just north of Altus, Oklahoma, on May 14, 1919, to James Benton and Myrtle Belle (Wiginton) Baucum.

Foy Willis Osburn, Sr. passed away Monday, April 6, 2015, at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, surrounded by his family. Foy was born May 4, 1929, to Sherman and Minnie Belle Osburn in Runge. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Barney and Bob; and two sisters, Alene and Mattie.
Eric David Shade, 49, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away March 28, 2015, in his home following a valiant fight with metastatic colorectal cancer. Born Sept. 27, 1965 in San Francisco, California, his life journeys later took him to Boerne, for most of his childhood. He graduated from Boerne High School in 1982.
Darrell “Dudley” Bernhard - our Dad and Papa, hardworking, passionate, husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, mentor and friend. “Dude” was also an avid fisherman, hunter, outdoorsmen, and in his younger years, a Bexar County Gunslinger. He had a love for wade fishing in the salt water and deer hunting, always chasing a trophy trout and searching for “Bullwinkle.”
Eleanor “Nora” Frances Kowalik, age 98, of Boerne, met her Lord and Savior and was reunited with her loved ones on Wednesday, April 1, 2015. She was born on Oct. 4, 1916, to Julian and Sophie (Bronder) Moy in Cestohowa. Her early life was spent helping her parents, two brothers and four sisters with farming to provide a living during the Depression years.
Foy Willis Osburn, 85, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015. A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home.
James Donald “Don” Baucum passed away Monday, March 30, 2015. A memorial mass will celebrate Don’s life on Saturday, April 11, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church at 10 a.m.
William Lohman Blaize, Lohman to everyone, passed away peacefully from Alzheimer’s at Hospice of Cincinnati on Monday, March 23, 2015. He was born April 21, 1926, in Robstown, to Herbert Neal Blaize and Eda Juliet Brown. A WWII Navy veteran, he lived all of his adult life in Boerne. Lohman worked 30 years for the Texas Highway Department, Maintenance Division, retiring in 1982.
William ‘Bill’ Horace Murphy, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. Born in San Marcos, on Aug. 31, 1924, he was the son of Wayne Thornton Murphy and Blanche May Smith Murphy. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he had retired from civil service with 32 years of service, and was then able to enjoy 35 happy retirement years with his wife at their Canyon Lake home.
