LAW ENFORCEMENT The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff ’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. BOERNE POLICE DEPARTMENT

JANUARY 15

5:15 a.m., 100 block of E. Low Cascade -- A security company reported a van had pulled up and turned off the security cameras at the location.

7:57 a.m., 37000 block of W. I-10 – A caller reported a barrel of trash on the roof and litter in the trees.

8:37 a.m., 100 block of W. Flowing River – A caller reported the theft of construction materials that had occurred earlier in the week.

9:58 a.m., 100 block of Old San Antonio Road – A caller reported a male had shown up at her location and said he was with GVTC. When the caller contacted GVTC, she was told he did not work there.

4:46 p.m., 600 block of N. Main Street – A caller reported a vehicle had been keyed in the parking lot.

JANUARY 16

1:04 p.m., 1300 block of S. Main Street – A caller reported he had bumped into another vehicle while backing up and damaged his vehicle.

1:59 p.m., 200 block of W. Bandera Road – A caller reported someone had shoplifted about $150 of merchandise from the location.

2: 00 p. m., 800 block of Johns Road – A staff member reported a vehicle parked on the service road that had an extension cord running to the apartment complex. Law enforcement made contact with the occupant and he agreed to leave the property.

4:17 p.m., 400 block of N. Main Street – A caller reported an ongoing issue of kids going into the drainage ditch.

JANUARY 17

11:16 a.m., 100 block of Old San Antonio Road – A caller reported an individual trespassing on the campus.

1:02 p.m., on Main Street at Bandera Road – A caller reported that someone cut her off when she was driving, got out of the vehicle and punched the caller’s window.

1:17 p.m., 1300 block of S. Main Street – A caller reported someone broke into her vehicle and stole cash from her console.

5:31 p.m., 100 block of Oak Grove – A caller reported that her vehicle had been vandalized and needed to document the matter.

JANUARY 18

12:24 p.m., 400 block of W. San Antonio Road -- A Crime Stoppers report stated a cat had been shot in the head earlier that day on someone’s front porch.

12:52 p.m., 100 block of W. Highland Road – A caller reported four teenaged males messing with the port- a- potty and were throwing construction cones.

4:40 p.m., 100 block of Gallant Fox – A caller reported a house key had been stolen. The caller knew who stole the key and was concerned due to their prior behavior.

6:16 p.m., at Herff Road/Lehmann – A caller reported owners of two vehicles who appeared to be fighting. The caller told dispatch that they had “gotten into it good.”

JANUARY 19

1:22 p.m., 400 block of W. Bandera Road – A caller reported that a hitand- run collision had occurred in the HEB parking lot.

3:14 p.m., 100 block of Gallant Fox – A caller reported her package had been delivered to the wrong location and reported it as stolen.

JANUARY 20

11:08 a.m., at Oak Park/Schweppe – A woman was detained after a traffic stop.

10:02 a.m., 300 N. Plant Avenue – A caller reported two loose dogs running around. The caller said the dogs almost got hit by some vehicles.

1:09 p.m., 37000 block of E. I-10 – Two vehicles were involved in a collision. No injuries were reported.

6:40 p.m., mile marker 545 E. I-10 – A vehicle was pulled over for a traffic stop. The male was detained and a probable cause search was conducted. A tow truck took possession of the vehicle.

8:50 p.m., at Ranger Creek/Aqua Shores – A caller reported a large dog running around the area without a collar.

JANUARY 21

9:49 a.m., on Main Street at Bandera Road – Two vehicles were reported to have collided. One vehicle was blocking the lane for other vehicles.

10:50 a.m., 800 block of Johns Road – A caller reported a male living in his vehicle, once again running an extension cord inside one of their buildings.

11:45 a.m., 800 block of Johns Road – Two males were temporarily detained and then taken into custody.

4:32 p.m., 400 block of W. Bandera Road – A woman was reported to be shoplifting from the location. Apparently, this was not the first time this had occurred with this woman.

 

KENDALL COUNTY SHERIFF"S OFFICE

JANUARY 15

12:14 p.m., 20 block of Joe Klar – A caller reported finding a gun at the location and said he was unsure how to handle the situation.

12:17 p.m., 200 block of E. Highway 46 – Fifteen goats were reported to be on the side of the road, practicing for their marathon.

5:21 p.m., on Country Lane – A caller reported seeing a bobcat on the side of the road.

JANUARY 16

2:41 a.m., 100 block of Acorn Circle – A car door was found open. Law enforcement attempted to make contact with the vehicle owner to make sure everything was OK. There was no answer but law enforcement did not see any signs of forced entry.

10:33 a.m., 200 block of S. FM 3351 – Seven or eight goats were reported to be running around the area. Apparently, this had been an ongoing issue for these party goats.

10:58 a.m., 100 block of Rio Cordillera Road – A caller reported two vehicles with landscape trailers driving in the area. The caller was concerned they were soliciting. Law enforcement made contact with the drivers, who said they were only giving a quote.

2: 56 p. m., mile marker 539 E. I-10 – A caller reported a suspected intoxicated driver on the road. The caller said the driver was going very slow and almost hit another vehicle. Law enforcement made contact with the driver who said they had gotten distracted while reaching for items in the vehicle.

JANUARY 17

5:48 a.m., mile marker 539 E. I-10 – A caller reported a vehicle hit a deer right just before the interstate exit. The vehicle was still in the road and its airbags had been deployed. A tow truck was required.

12:39 p.m., 800 block of FM 289 – A general manager reported that someone had attempted to forge a check in their name for almost $2,000.

1: 58 p. m., 300 block of Upper Cibolo Creek Road – A caller reported a male in a vehicle was driving around the area and seemed to be driving from one stop to another and parking.

4:21 p.m., 100 block of Spanish Pass Road – A caller reported a possible rabid skunk in the area.

JANUARY 18

12:07 a.m., on Jones Cemetery Road – A caller reported hearing shots fired in the area and seeing someone in her yard.

3:03 a.m., 200 block of W. FM 473 – A caller reported people smoking marijuana in her apartment complex.

4:26 p.m., 100 block of Idlewilde Boulevard – A caller reported a sick raccoon on his property.

7:01 p.m., 36000 block of W. I-10 – A caller reported a fire behind the apartment complex. Boerne F.D. responded and found it was a controlled burn.

8:26 p.m., 100 block of Upper Balcones Road – A caller reported an intoxicated male in the road who was yelling.

JANUARY 19 2:38 p.m., 100 block of Talavera – A caller reported hearing gunshots in the area. The caller told dispatch she heard at least 20 gunshots. Law enforcement came to the location and did not see any criminal misconduct.

2:45 p.m., 400 block of Fifth Street – A caller requested assistance with a trapped raccoon in her backyard.

5:27 p.m., on N. Highway 87 – A caller requested assistance with removing two people from the location. The caller said they had been there awhile and were asking people for money.

JANUARY 20

10:09 a.m., 500 block of Adler Street – A caller reported a dog had been left outside in the inclement weather. Law enforcement came to the location but did not see any animals outside.

2:25 p.m., 100 block of River Ranch Road – A caller reported someone broke into her mailbox.

6:06 p.m., 600 block of Esperanza – A driver of a suspicious vehicle was detained after being stopped. A tow truck was called for the vehicle.

9:08 p.m., 500 block of Sunflower -- A caller reported finding THC, vapes and marijuana pens in her teenage son’s room.

JANUARY 21

1:08 p.m., 2700 block of FM 473 – A caller reported a vehicle had crashed through a nearby fence. The driver told the caller he was not injured. The caller helped the driver fix a flat tire as law enforcement came to the location.

2:21 p.m., 100 block of Valley View Spur – A caller reported a dog had charged at her husband. The caller was unsure who the dog belonged to, as it had no collar.

9:28 p.m., 100 block of Ranger Drive – A caller was concerned about a noise that sounded “like both human and an animal.” Law enforcement came to the location and validated that the dog “did not sound like a dog.”
