MOVIE IN THE PARK by Boerne Parks and Recreation. Come to Main Plaza, 100 N. Main St., for an outdoor blockbuster beginning at 7 p.m. Bring a chair or your favorite blanket and watch as “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” hits the big screen.

APRIL 26

CASINO NIGHT FUNDRAISER by the Rotary Club of Boerne at The Center, 17 Old San Antonio Road. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Open bar, a full buffet and chances to win cash prizes. Purchase tickets at www.boernerotary. org or call Paula White at 210-710-6335.

BOERNE BLAZE GAME: A showdown between Boerne F.D. and Boerne P.D. at this kickball game from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Northrup Park, 37500 I-10 West. There will be face paint, concessions, and a moon bounce.

CITY NATURE CHALLENGE at Cibolo Nature Center from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is part of a global challenge where cities across the world compete to see who can make the most iNaturalist observations. This is a free challenge and volunteers will be present to help out.

GOURMET MUSHROOM CULTIVATION at Cibolo Nature Center from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Led by the Central Texas Mycological Society, this presentation is perfect for beginners or those who would like to really dial in their at-home mushroom production. Register at cibolo.org.

OPEN CAR SHOW presented by the Texas Corvette Association from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Main Plaza on North Main Street. Vendors, food trucks, silent auction, awards, DeLorean Time Machine, pet blessings, Fiesta medals, T-shirts and over 400 classic cars.

WILD GAME DINNER at the Kendall County Youth Agriculture and Equestrian Center, 648 FM 289, from 4-9 p.m. This event helps raise money for local and international charities and features delicious wild game fare, door prizes, silent and live auctions, kids’ games and more.

THRIFTY HAPPY HOUR from 5-9 p.m. at the Hill Country Animal League, 115 W. Bandera Road. Enjoy a glass of wine while you shop a fantastic selection of thrift store treasures. All proceeds from your purchases will benefit the Hill Country Animal League Clinic.
