The Geneva School of Boerne baseball team has been busy and won two of its last three games.

The Eagles split with St. Michael’s, winning 3-1 and losing 10-0, last week before playing St. Mary’s Hall on Monday and winning that game, 5-3.

Geneva is 12-2-1 overall and hosts Brentwood Christian on Friday.

In Monday’s contest against the Barons, Guy Kohler hit 2 singles, while Chaz Lutz, Hudson McNew and Shawn George all singled with George driving in 2 runs and Guy George, George Viña and Kohler scoring runs, while Lutz plated 2 runs.

Shawn George went all 7 innings on the mound and gave up 6 hits, 3 runs, 1 walk and fanned 8.

Vs. St. Michael’s

In Geneva’s 3-1 win, it was tied at 1-1, but the Eagles scored 2 in the bottom of the sixth and held on for the victory.

Each team only had 2 hits in the game and the Eagles overcame 6 errors to win. Grant Roberson and Chaz Lutz both singled, Guy Kohler scored both runs and Luke Valdez picked up an RBI.

Shawn George went 6.1 innings on the hill to get the win and gave up 2 hits, fanned 7 and walked 1. Guy George recorded the final 2 outs and got them on just 8 pitches.

In Geneva’s 10-0 loss to St. Michael’s, the Eagles were held to 2 hits, a double from Guy George and a single from Guy Kohler.

Guy George went 2 innings on the bump and Luke Valdez threw the final 3.2 innings before the game was stopped in the sixth because of the mercy rule.

George struck out 2 and walked 1, while Valdez fanned 1 and walked 1.
