CELEBRATING THE ARTS
Ruth Shipman is a longtime Boerne area resident and artist who has participated in the Kendall County Fair, San Antonio Watercolor Group, Hunter School of Art and Kerrville art group. In addition, she has volunteered at the New Braunfels Gallery and San Antonio River Art Gallery and has taken classes taught by other wellknown Boerne artists.
Ruth has been a member of the Boerne Art League for many years and has served as the group’s president and treasurer in the past.
Ruth enjoys watercolors and her paintings are “classic” style. Many of her painting subjects are flower arrangements, as well as gardens, animals and landscapes.
You can view a sample of her works at the following locations during the month of May: Frost Bank, Jefferson Bank, Texas Heritage Bank, Bank of America, Security State Bank and The Center at Kronkosky.
Ruth is always “painting in her mind,” thinking of the next artwork she will create. Painting has always been and continues to be her passion.
