Mini Workshops May 3: Acrylic Pour Painting with Julie Majek: “Just go with the flow!”

The art form of pouring paint onto canvas, also known as fluid art, originated in the 1930s when muralist, David Alfaro Siqueiros, accidentally spilled different colors of paint on top of each other, and was fascinated by the way they mixed.

In the early 2000s pouring mediums for acrylic paints were developed, and now acrylic pour art has become a global trend.

Art AfterHours: every Tuesday, 7-9 p.m.

April 29: Buttons Buttons Buttons.

Buttons fabricated from polymer, wood, or antique. We will sculpt a button from polymer clay and use pre-fabricated buttons of various mediums. Adorned with decorative tissue, gilding wax, beads, and ephemera. Use in your favorite textile project or craft creation.

BCT’s ‘ Mousetrap’ opens May 2 Boerne Community Theatre brings “The Mousetrap,” by Agatha Christie to the stage, directed by Donna Provencher, from May 2-18.

This record-breaking mystery features a brilliant surprise ending from Dame Agatha Christie, the foremost mystery writer of her time. Shows are weekends, tickers run $20$24.
