May 13: Torch Fire Patina. Work with a fuel flame torch and unfinished copper metal. Forge raw metal into a finished piece with a jeweler’s saw, files, other metal smithing tools.
Finish your piece with a stunning fire patina technique and watch the bursting rainbow of colors.
May 20: Lace Paper Making. Form paper with delicate positive and negative shapes. Use fiber pulp to draw and form delicate flowing lines fused together into a lace statement piece. Finish several sheets of paper in this two-hour exploration class perfect for mixed media, card or any project you can dream.
May 27: Needle Felt. A landscape in fiber. Build a pictorial image with layers of colored fiber. Add additional objects to achieve a relief image or enjoy your individual sculptured piece.
MAY 25 — Join our Boerne Concert Band Memorial Day weekend as they remember our Armed Forces. Bring your family and friends, blankets and lawn chairs at 7 p.m. to Boerne Main Plaza to enjoy patriotic selections by the Boerne Concert Band. Musical selections include Midway March, Pearl Harbor, The March from 1941, Fanfare for the Common Man, Hymn to the Fallen, Armed Forces Salute, Chosen Destiny, and more.
