FAIR OAKS RANCH — A 34-year-old man is behind bars after he fatally stabbed his Army veteran father in an apparent domestic dispute, then turned himself in, according to police.
Allison Paul Clark VI, who is charged with murder, remained in the Bexar County Jail Sunday in lieu of posting a $200,000 bond.
The case began to unfold when man walked into the Fair Oaks Ranch Police Department about 9:30 a.m. Saturday and told officers he had just stabbed his father, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.
Police then responded to 29374 Duberry Ridge and found Allison Paul Clark III, 71, a former soldier, dead from his wounds.
Sheriff’s investigators were called in to assist local police.
A knife found in the kitchen sink is believed to be the weapon used in the incident, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
City Manager Scott Huizenga praised how Fair Oaks Ranch officers handled the situation.
“I commend our officers for their quick response both within the department and at the scene,” Huizenga said. “I also want to thank Bexar County for its ongoing partnership to keep the community safe.”
Mayor Greg Maxton added, “Fair Oaks Ranch is consistently ranked as one of the safest cities in Texas. While events like these are tragic, they are also rare.”
There is no danger to the public, the mayor added
"The immediate response from our team of dedicated officers and the support of our residents ensures such tragedies, when they do occur, are contained,” Maxton said.
