Daniel Pyron Coryell of Pipe Creek passed away unexpectedly at his home on July 24, 2025, at the age of 65. He was a devoted husband, proud father, grandfather, uncle and loyal friend, and legendary outdoorsman.
He lived life on his own terms, with grit, heart and a deep love for the wild and the people he loved most. His spirit will forever echo in the woods, the stories and the lives he touched.
He was born on Dec. 22, 1959, in San Antonio, Texas, and later moved to Boerne where he graduated from Boerne High School. He then attended UTSA for dental crown fabrication.
He was a passionate hunter and clay shooter as well as a lifetime member of the National Sporting Clays Association, and won several local, state and national competitions in sporting clays.
He enjoyed working with his hand, hunting and sharing his love for the outdoors with family and friends.
Dan is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Juile Coryell; his sisters: Susan, (Jim) Cody, Diana Coryell; Children: Brenda (Jason) Chavoya, Kyle Cox, Kevin (Laura) Schroeder; Grandchildren: Veronica (Adolf), Trey, Christopher, Cameron, Tyler; Great Grandchildren: Kayson, Kyler, Violet, Emma, Stella; Nephews: Christopher, Kevin and numerous other great nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life is planned for Aug. 9 at 12:30 p.m. at The Pipe Creek General Store and Dance Hall, 9878 Hwy 16 South in Pipe Creek, Texas.
