LAW ENFORCEMENT 

The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. AUGUST 6

6:13 a.m., 100 block of Chisholm – A caller reported a vehicle pulled up across from the caller’s house and quickly turned off the lights. The caller said a male was laying back in his seat.

1:09 p.m., 1400 block of S. Main Street – A caller reported someone was sending fraudulent emails pretending to work at the caller’s business.

11:59 p.m., mile marker 542 of W. Interstate 10 – A caller reported an 18-wheeler driving erratically. The caller said the vehicle was swerving in the road, preventing the caller from passing.

AUGUST 7

10:39 a.m., 600 block of W. Bandera Road – A caller reported someone tried stealing her bag from her vehicle the previous evening.

2:20 p.m., 100 block of Old San Antonio Road – A U-Haul outlet reported someone stole a tow dolly from the location.

6:38 p.m., 300 block of Derby – A caller reported a vehicle parked in a no parking zone. The vehicle was moved before law enforcement arrived at the location.

7:20 p.m., 400 block of Rosewood Avenue – A caller reported her son’s bike was stolen from the location.

AUGUST 8

8:06 a.m., 700 block of Rosewood Avenue – A caller reported someone left an open container of gasoline by her trash cans.

9:28 a.m., 400 block of W. Bandera Road – A caller reported a male who was smoking and stumbling in the street.

10:27 a.m., 500 block of S. Plant Avenue – A caller reported someone filed for unemployment using his Social Security number.

2:40 p.m., 400 block of W. Bandera Road – A caller reported he was assaulted by his cousin and was bleeding. EMS came to the location and provided medical assistance.

AUGUST 9

9:38 a.m., 300 block of Hickman – A caller reported smelling gas in their house. It was found that the smell was coming from a broiler that was burning food.

10:29 a.m., at Road/I-10 – A caller reported a man panhandling on the bridge. Law enforcement advised that if the incident occurred again, he would be ticketed.

11:50 a.m., on Main Plaza – A caller was worried about a male who was filming Boerne Market Day and appeared to be focusing on filming children.

6:17 p.m., 300 block of S. Esser Road – A caller reported a male walking around vehicles in the parking lot.

AUGUST 10

8:29 a.m., Blanco Road/Plant Avenue – A caller reported a dead raccoon lying in the middle of the road.

11:04 a.m., on Upper Balcones Road/ Coughran – A two-vehicle collision was reported. One of the vehicles was reported to still be in the road and was leaking fluid.

2:45 p.m., 1100 block of River Road – A caller reported a vehicle had been parked in the parking lot for more than two hours. The caller said two people were inside the vehicle and trash was thrown around.

4:05 p.m., 1300 block of S. Main Street – A caller reported they had detained a shoplifter in their office.

8:16 a.m., on Caverns Road – A caller reported another driver attempted to hit her. The caller suspected the other driver didn’t want to let anyone else in the line.

10:03 a.m., 300 block of E. San Antonio Street – A male came into the Boerne P.D. lobby to report a case of harassment.

2:35 p.m., 1300 block of S. Main Street – A caller reported a male at the location who had previously been issued a criminal trespass warning.

7:56 p.m., 100 block of Aransas Pass – A caller reported smelling a potential gas leak at the location. The caller later suspected it may be a dead rodent.

9:48 p.m., on Cascade Caverns – A caller was concerned after someone followed her home from the movies.

AUGUST 6

3:04 a.m., on N. Highway 87 – A trucker reported another trucker struck his rig in a parking lot.

5:20 a.m., on N. Highway 87 – A caller reported finding a large amount of shattered glass in the restroom and then reported finding a meth pipe.

8:50 a.m., FM 3351/Guthrie Road – A caller reported seeing someone hanging off the back of a garbage truck as it was going down the road.

3:42 p.m., Haag Road – A caller reported an incident of identity theft in relation to her bank account.

AUGUST 7

12:48 a.m., 500 block of Sunflower – A caller reported a male and female having a physical altercation outside the apartment complex. Law enforcement came to the location but could not locate the individuals.

8:00 a.m., 800 block of N. Creek – A caller requested assistance with having her vehicle returned. The caller said she let someone borrow it, but they were now refusing to return it.

12:52 p.m., 800 block of Front Street – A caller reported his daughter was attempting to cash fraudulent checks with the caller’s name on them.

1:24 p.m., on Spencer Road – A caller reported a rental home was vandalized and destroyed.

8:12 p.m., 42000 block of W. I-10 – Law enforcement tagged a vehicle after finding the registration and license plate did not match.

AUGUST 8

7:40 a.m., 400 block of N. Walnut Way – A caller reported a porcupine in her yard.

12:09 p.m., 31000 block of W. I-10 – A caller reported his vehicle was stolen from the property during the night.

1:29 p.m., 200 block of Ammann Road – A male and female were detained after a traffic stop.

2:08 p.m., 1000 block of FM 1376 – Law enforcement reported the pursuit of a male in the road. The male was detained as a result of multiple illegal actions and his vehicle was towed.

AUGUST 9

12:10 a.m., 100 block of N. Wagon Wheel – A caller reported a vehicle driving slowly around the area with low lights.

1:29 a.m., on N. Highway 87 – Law enforcement contacted a male who was walking around. It was found that the male was taking a post-breakup stroll.

9:03 a.m., 10000 block of Johns Road – Five cows were loose and running around the area looking for some popsicles too cool off.

3:39 p.m., mile marker 543, E. I-10 – A vehicle collision was reported, as a vehicle reportedly rolled. It was also reported the occupant was entrapped. A lane of traffic was closed while the collision was being handled.

AUGUST 10

6:29 a.m., mile marker 545, E. I-10 – A vehicle was impounded after law enforcement found the driver did not have vehicle insurance coverage.

11:54 a.m., 9300 block of FM 1376 – A caller reported they were involved in a motorcycle collision. The caller suspected he sustained a head injury.

2:19 p.m., 1000 block of N. FM 3351 – A caller reported someone broke into her house and stole firearms and other equipment.

10:23 p.m., 100 block of Sisterdale Road – A caller reported her neighbor’s fence was knocked down. The caller was concerned the neighbor’s animals may get out.

AUGUST 11

8:28 a.m., 800 block of Avenue A – A caller reported a woman stole items from the location and took off in her vehicle. Law enforcement successfully located the vehicle.

9:36 a.m., 100 block of Seven Sisters Drive – A caller reported mail was stolen out of every mailbox in their community on Saturday.

10:12 a.m., FM 1621 – A caller reported someone broke into his mobile home and was attempting to steal it. When law enforcement investigated the situation, it was found the property owner was attempting to move it after the mobile home owner had not paid him.

3:14 p.m., 1500 block of FM 1376 – A caller reported a herd of goats appeared as though they were going to help TxDOT with roadside vegetation.

AUGUST 12

7:26 a.m., on Water Street/Broadway Street – A caller reported an injured dog on the road.

2:24 p.m., 100 block of Allen Road – A caller was concerned about fraud with a boat he purchased.

5:20 p.m., 500 block of High Street – A caller reported a fire hydrant was spewing water, despite not seeing any damage. It was found that local emergency services were already aware.

10:45 p.m., mile marker 533, E. I-10 – A diesel mechanic requested assistance with traffic control after reporting he had almost been hit multiple times while trying to fix a vehicle.
