• TEXAS LEGISLATIVE SESSION update led by Joyce Yanuzzi, district director for State Sen. Donna Campbell (R-New Braunfels), who will provide an update on the accomplishments of the Texas Legislature. • BOERNE MUNICIPAL POOL remains open Saturdays and Sundays, noon to 7 p.m., through Aug. 31. Admission the pool, at 106 City Park Road, is $4 per person for Boerne residents, and $5 for all others.
• BLUEGRASS JAM: Bring your instrument and play along or just come to listen to the bluegrass jams while exploring the exhibits and grounds of The AgriCultural at 102 City Park Road. The music runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is a free event; donations welcome.
• KUHLMANN-KING TOURS at 402 E. Blanco Road from noon to 3 p.m. Step back in time to experience and explore how a Boerne family would have lived in the late 1800s. Tours are free; donations are welcome.

• BOERNE COMMUNITY THEATRE’s latest presentation, “Don’t Talk To The Actors,” opens for a three-weekend run through Sept. 14.
