Three residents filed to run for the soon-to-be-vacated Boerne City Council District 3 seat by the Aug. 15 deadline.
Candidates Susan Friar, Phillip Kempf and Kyle Mickelsen all filed for the District 3 seat being vacated by Councilman Quinten Scott, who resigned July 8 after moving to a home outside city limits.
City Council will select a successor for Scott's seat from among the three candidates.
