MONARCH BUTTERFLY EXHIBIT by Carriage House Gallery, through October 31. Come visit this special gallery exhibit featuring artwork by 14 local artists to raise awareness and funds for monarch butterfly conservation.

NIGHT STAR PARTY: Join the Kendall County Friends of the Night Sky as they host a “Star Party” from 7-9:30 p.m. at St. Tryphon Winery, 24 Wasp Creek Road about 7-8 miles out Sisterdale Road from Boerne. Area astronomers will have telescopes and SkyView apparatus available for their fellow astronomers, and for any/all first-time stargazers, to share the view of the starry night sky. BLUEGRASS JAM: Bring your instrument and play along or just come to listen to the Bluegrass Jams while exploring the exhibits and grounds of The AgriCultural, 102 City Park Road, on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The jam is free to the public.
KUHLMANN-KING TOURS at 402 E. Blanco Road from noon to 3 p.m. Step back in time to experience and explore how a Boerne family would have lived in the late 1800s. Tours are free but any donations are always welcome.

FIRST METHODIST’S 150th: First United Methodist Church and its congregation, 205 James St., will mark the church’s 150th anniversary with a special worship service program, followed by packing of 10,000 food bags for Rise Against Hunger.
