Once a year, Boerne allows the public to camp overnight on the grounds of Boerne Lake City Park. Oct. 4-5 saw hundreds of tents sprout up all around the park. Among the campers were Alaya Vasquez, left, father Reggie Vasquez, Judah Vasquez and Noah Vasquez, who took to the lake to cool off.
