Lady Chargers beat by Warriors in three sets

Boerne Champion had a six-match winning streak snapped last Friday after the Chargers volleyball team went on the road and was defeated by Pieper.

The Lady Warriors swept Champion, 25-17, 26-24, 25-19. The Lady Chargers are 25-6 overall and 10-4 in district.

Last Friday’s loss was Champion’s first setback in the second round of district play and their first defeat in almost a month. They last fell to New Braunfels on Sept. 19, but reeled off six consecutive victories before the Warriors ended the streak last Friday.

Champion visits New Braunfels Tuesday and is home Friday to close out the regular season against Wagner before starting the playoffs next week.
